Go escalator go!
This escalator has a motion sensor in the column with the green arrow on it. It does not move until it detects someone advancing towards it.
- Seems like a great energy saver, but is it?
- Should all escalators have this?
- Does the fact that the escalator isn’t contantly in motion make people who approach think that it is out of order?
- Does having the machine stopped when not being used help reduce accidents?
I hope that the elpased running time once activated is at least sufficient to get the passenger to the top!
This photo looks like a more modern area than the dual-purpose motorcycle. Walk it out.
Hope things are good man.
@ Mark
No issues reaching the top safely.
@ Steve
The line between the modern and the undeveloped areas isn’t so stark over here.
KLIA! π Yes, it is energy efficient. And FYI, they have this in O’hare as well.. π Well, agree with 3rd question but i think we’re trying to change ppl’s mind set on technology.. and energy saving –> Environmental conversation..
Oops. I meant conservation. Not conversation. lol still early here π
@ Jin
Thanks for the comments. I’ve not seen it at O’Hare, but O’Hare is big! I think Environmental Conversation works as well in that sentence as Environmental Conservation!
