Dress Maker Alley

Down a narrow side-alley off Commercial Street in Bangalore there are loads of small tailoring shops which primarily cater to customers looking for ladies’ dresses.

At the end of this lane with about twenty such shops, there is a two story building with an additional THIRTY dressmakers and tailors.

As a shop owner, how do you differentiate yourself in this sort of competitive market?  I think it would be great if a furniture shop moved in, just to shake things up a bit.

I also wonder why the numbers on the ground floor are sequential, but on the list of the first floor shops the numbers are completely jumbled.
